Steph:  It truly has the texture and feel of butter, except better!  It's super rich and glides on smoothly.  Easy to apply around the eye area exactly where you want it for concentrated spot treatments.  I have very sensitive eyes and am a contact lens wearer and found this eye butter to be great because it stays put and does not irritate my eyes at all.
