Many companies sell products they describe as "natural" or "organic". Some of them are even certified "natural" or "organic" by independent entities. But what do these words really mean? Unfortunately, they are sometimes used too loosely and can be misleading. After all, arsenic and lead are "natural"! At worst, these words can be inadequate proxies for the safety of you and your family. Body Sense sells only products rated by an American non profit organization as having the lowest-hazard potential, on a three-level scale. You will never find a product rated "moderate hazard" or "severe hazard" on our website.
Consumers should know about the possible implications of their daily choices. The importance of a simple decision like which moisturizer to use is magnified when you consider how often you are exposed to the chemicals that may be in it. Do you use moisturizer every day? While a link between cancer and proven carcinogens and other chemicals that are found in many widely available personal care products has not been established, Body Sense believes that consumers shouldn't be forced to take that risk. We believe that given the choice, prudent, informed consumers will opt for a superior product with less chemical risk.
We address this problem by providing a convenient, one-stop shop for all of your personal care needs, and those of your family.
To educate and raise public awareness of all of the unnecessary and potentially harmful chemicals and carcinogens that may be in your house. We start by focusing on your body and skin, providing you with information and tools you can use to reduce your body's chemical load. We then aspire to offer solutions for other products in your home, in order to reduce your and your family's environmental exposure to potentially harmful chemicals.
Below are the core values we at Body Sense believe are absolutely fundamental to the success of our organization:
Customer Focus: We want to deliver a seamless buying experience to our customers. Our focus is not only on providing quality products to our customers, but also on empowering customers by providing information they can use to make sound, fact-based decisions about the amount and types of chemicals to which they expose themselves and their families.
Integrity: In every interaction - both internal and external - we strive to conduct ourselves with the utmost integrity. We recognize at times this may require courage to deal with business realities that might force us to make unprofitable decisions, but we are committed to making the right and responsible decision every time - even if it costs us money. You can always trust that we are making our best efforts to be open and forthcoming with information that is available to us.
- We will do our best to make sure that all BodySense communications and educational efforts contain complete and accurate information.
- We will conduct all communications between employees and owners of Body Sense in a direct and open manner. BodySense.com welcomes input from all involved personnel and will not discriminate against anyone just because he or she expresses an honest opinion.
Adaptability: We want to be nimble and agile in all of our business efforts. We recognize that many of our larger competitors have more resources, but we are adaptable and dedicated to our mission, and we believe these traits will set us apart from the rest and ensure the highest level of potential success. Our adaptability in a dynamic market allows us to listen to our consumers and build solutions to meet their specific needs.
Accountability: We strive to be accountable to all of Body Sense's stakeholders: our customers, our employees, our community, and ourselves. We say what we are going to do, put a plan in place to do it, and then execute on that plan. Rest assured, we will follow through on our commitments.
Enjoy your stay!
